1.    Event Hash Tag

Select the hashtag to monitor on Instagram and/or Twitter. This should be specific to your event to prevent unwanted photos from being downloaded.

2.    Check Availability

Click the check availability check mark to check to see if your hashtag has been used before on Instagram. Checking something like #wedding will prove to be a poor choice, as there are millions of photos uploaded for that hashtag. If there are no photos found, then you can assume that no one will accidentally be using your hashtag during your event.

This feature can also be used to download previously uploaded photos for your hahstag from Instagram that may have been uploaded prior to the event or while the software was not running. Instagram has a habit of reporting more photos than are actually available, so the reported number may be different than what you can actually download. If photos are already downloaded, this will more than likely result in duplicates.  If you want to avoid this, delete or rename the event folder in Windows explorer and let BYO Booth download them all.

3.    Event Hash Tag #2

Select the hashtag to monitor on Instagram and/or Twitter. This should be specific to your event to prevent unwanted photos from being downloaded.  These photos will be saved under the 1st hashtag folder.

4.    Photo Save Folder

This is where you would like BYO Booth to save downloaded images. The default is C:\BYOBooth. A new subfolder will be created for each hashtag you use.

Enable or disable Instagram. You also have the following options:

7.    Enable Twitter

Enable or disable Instagram. You also have the following options:

8.    Twitter Options

Download Twitter photos.

Download Twitter Tweets (text).

Log in to a Twitter account. Unlike Instagram, this is mandatory in order to use Twitter in BYO Booth.

9.    Enable Watch Folder

You can have BYO Booth monitor a watch folder to add photos from other sources.  Common uses of this is to watch the save folder of a photo booth, or to watch the save folder of an Eye-Fi card to incorporate photos from a roaming photographer. Watch folder photos will be center cropped and squared off to match the Instagram style photos.
